ROMANIA
Our first trip to Romania was in March of 2022, with several others, to help a local pastor who was taking in refugees from the war in Ukraine.
Dave & our son helped build housing for the refugees and while LeighAnn and our daughter helped with clothing, bedding, and food for the women, children, and elderly refugees coming daily to the church compound. Dave also got to help transport refugees to and from the train stations.
We prayed with them when able to but mostly we showed them the love of God through meeting their physical needs. At one point a woman asked “who is paying these people to help us?” She was told that all of us were volunteers who love God and wanted to help and show them His love. She was dumbfounded, as she had never seen such selfless acts. We all truly got to be His hands and feet.
The first time we were invited into India we knew in our hearts that God wanted to reignite a fire within the believers there who had suffered from the Covid 19 shutdowns and losses.
Everywhere we ministered, we saw the Holy Spirit move in with joy, laughter, healing, and deliverance. It was truly a life changing experience for all of us.
INDIA
I (Leigh) had the wonderful opportunity to minister at a women and children outreach in the slums of Kathmandu.
I taught a simple message about God’s faithfulness and His desire to bless and heal. I was asked to pray for the women and children there and ended up laying hands on many of them for healing, barrenness, prosperity, marriage reconciliation, and for their futures. One woman asked me through the translator to pray for her brother who had been in an accident. I prayed a simple prayer of agreement with her that her brother would fully recover and be able to return to work and support his family.
The next morning I heard that the brother had come out of a 3 month coma that very night and his first words were to ask for his sister. I did not know he’d been in a coma. I also did not know that he’d ostracized his sister for becoming a Christian. She was able to tell him Jesus had healed him and led him to salvation. Glory to God!
NEPAL
IRELAND
We had the opportunity to serve in two different churches on two separate assignments to Ireland. We got to pour into people, love them, learn the culture, and share the gospel.
